Frost Center Colloquia: The Student Experience According to Data

Join Allison Moore, Director of Assessment and Accreditation, and Gerald Longjohn, Senior Associate Dean of Students, to review the data from two recent student surveys. The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) provides educators with an estimate of how undergraduates spend their time and what they gain from attending college. At Hope College, NSSE is administered to first-year and senior students every other year. In Spring 2026, Hope College was part of the first cohort of schools to participate in the Academic Flourishing Initiative from the Human Flourishing Program at Harvard University. It assesses how colleges and universities foster wisdom, character, and human flourishing.
