AI for Work & Career: Using AI to Support Job Searching and Skill Building

Module 3: This career-focused workshop explores how Generative AI tools, like Microsoft Copilot, can support job searching, career exploration, and everyday workplace tasks. You’ll learn where AI tools commonly appear in hiring and how they can be used to help with resume writing, cover letters, interview preparation, and organizing your job-search process.

The session includes practical demonstrations showing how Generative AI can help uncover career pathways, draft professional materials, and build new skills—while also discussing when not to rely on AI and how to use it responsibly.

You’ll leave with clear, actionable ideas for using AI to boost productivity, enhance your job search, and prepare for an evolving digital workforce.

Public libraries and Microsoft Elevate are working together to help libraries become trusted AI learning hubs where communities build skills through no cost AI literacy trainings and credentials. You will be emailed a Certificate of Participation after completing this module.
