Basic Computer Skills Education
New to computers or not sure where to begin? This introductory class is designed for learners with little to no computer experience who want to build confidence using technology.
In this presentation-style session, we’ll cover the very basics of how computers work, including common terms, using a mouse and keyboard, understanding the internet, and navigating simple programs. This class moves at a comfortable pace and is a great place to ask questions in a supportive environment.
This course is intended as a first step to help prepare participants for the Northstar Digital Literacy class that we hoston Mondays in the Opportunity Center, where you can continue building your skills, practice your skills on a computer and earn certificates.
No prior experience is required—just bring your curiosity!
