Learn American Sign-Language (ASL) together!
Learn American Sign Language 1&2 (ASL) together
Build your American Sign Language skills in a supportive setting. This hybrid program combines an online Online Discover Sign Language Details | OSHKOSH PUBLIC LIBRARY & Discover Sign Language 2 course with weekly, in‑person practice sessions at the library.
How it works
Register for Gale Course’s Online Discover Sign Language Details | OSHKOSH PUBLIC LIBRARY & Discover Sign Language 2 on the library’s website. Choose the six-week session that begins on September 16, October 14, and
November 11. A library card is required to access a free Gale Course. Attend the online sessions when it fits into your schedule, then join us at the library each week to practice what you’ve learned through activities and conversations using ASL.
In-person sessions
MON | Oct 5, 12, 19, 26 | 5-630pm | LL | Conference Room
MON | Nov 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 | 5-630pm | LL | Conference Room
Sessions focus on key course topics with time for questions and lots of practice. We’ll encourage each other while we learn together.
In-person instruction will be led by expert Shawn Blankinship, with support from ASL trained library staff.
