Beyond the Ballot: The Unfinished Revolution of Early Women's Rights

In the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, suffragists across Wisconsin and the nation fought for women's right to political equality with men. But they wanted more than simply the ballot for women. This talk will explore how early women's rights advocates demanded equality at home, in the workplace, and across society, sparking a revolution that persists today.

Presented by Dr. Kimberley Reilly, Associate Professor, Democracy & Justice Studies, History, and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, Democracy and Justice Studies Unit Chair and History Program Chair at the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay.
