The Great Awakening: Painters in America - Georgia O'Keeffe

Join us for the third lecture in a five part series “The Great Awakening: Painters of America” presented by local art historian Prof. Karri Fritz-Klaus of Cornerstone History Symposium.

Take a visual journey, and learn how O'Keeffe, the Wisconsin-born artist devoted her entire life to her craft, breaking boundaries for female artists in the early 20th century by transformed everyday natural elements—such as bones, trees, sky, and flowers—into powerful, transcendent abstract art. Prof. Fritz-Klaus will lead us as we examine her deep connection to the American wilderness and the landscapes that defined her career.

Save the date for the following lecture on 1/5/27: Edward Hopper.
