Bright Beginnings Workshop

This workshop will be devoted to enhancing early literacy strategies in your classroom! Library staff will introduce new books along with early literacy activities designed for young children. Then, Kathy MacMillan will share practical strategies for incorporating American Sign Language (ASL) into the classroom and explore how ASL improves student vocabulary and reading comprehension, defuses behavior issues, and more. The presentations will be geared toward teachers, early childhood educators, and parents who are interested in encouraging life-long reading skills in children. Continuing education credit is available through Wisconsin Registry. Registration is required.
