Mokume Gane Workshop with Chris Sklba

Explore the fascinating art of Mokume-Gane with Chris Sklba from Art Metals Studio. Learn the traditional metalworking technique that creates striking woodgrain-like patterns by layering and manipulating different metals. Designed for intermediate to advanced metalsmiths, this workshop will cover preparing metals for billet construction, pattern development using provided materials, and techniques for attempting to bond copper or brass with nickel silver. Participants will also work with a pre-bonded piece of copper and brass to practice patterning methods and gain a deeper understanding of this unique process. All materials are provided.
