Two Solo Art Shows at the David Barnett Gallery

The David Barnett Gallery is pleased to announce two one-person exhibitions: John Hallett: From Bark to Bronze and Daniel Klewer: Stripes: Textured Relief. Hallett, a sculptor who works primarily in bronze and glass, is a retired veterinarian whose oeuvre is influenced in part by his former profession. His sculptures of animals display a sensitive attention to detail, and his most recent works incorporate glass and bronze in organic settings. Klewer, a painter in color-saturated acrylic and mixed media, has all but abandoned the paintbrush for an abstract textural striped surface that projects off the canvas. His playful and often alliteratively titled compositions take on geometric form.
