Book Scouts Book Club (Grades 2-4)
Open to youth in grades 2-4.
Welcome to Book Scouts (grades 2-4), a young reader's first book club experience at the library!
The fall session's theme is ROBOTS. Activities will include coding and playing with robots, exploring robotics non-fiction, building a robot friend from scrap wood, and discussing Peter Brown's The Wild Robot.
Book Scouts explore a variety of literary genres (such as science fiction, fantasy, mystery, and non-fiction) in both chapter book and graphic novel formats. A typical meeting includes lively discussions, games, and artistic projects inspired by our monthly read. Whether your child already loves books or is just starting their independent reading journey, Book Scouts offers a welcoming space to grow as a reader, gain confidence with public speaking, and have enormous fun with new friends.
Join at any time during the 2-month session by registering below or contacting Youth Services at 715-839-5007.
