Join Illinois State Senator Bill Cunningham (District 18) and Jan Goldberg (LWV Cook County, Criminal Justice Interest Group LWV La Grange) and Deron Schreck PhD, (Moraine Valley Community College Professor of Political Science) they discuss the outcome of the midterm election, its impact on our local communities, institutions, and counties and state governments.

The League of Women Voters of Palos Orland Area (LWVPOA) invites you to listen to local community leaders compare the challenges and opportunities for meaningful legislation arising from the new configurations of the U.S. Congress, State and County governments. Which referendums passed? Which legislation will be advanced and which will be held in abeyance? What confirmation hearings will be concluded and which positions might remain vacant? What agencies and commissions might receive new members? Persons in attendance may submit questions for consideration by the panel. The event will be moderated by LWVPOA Vice President, Nicki Kastellorizios-Lee, award-winning author of "Good Digital Citizen: Everyday Ethics for an Intentional Digital Existence."
