Free Diabetes Screening

World Diabetes Day is observed each year on November 14th to raise awareness about diabetes and the importance of prevention, early detection, and management. The theme this year is early diagnosis and risk reduction.

Free Diabetes Screening

- Tests generously provided by the Janesville Lions Club

- In partnership with Hedberg Library, HealthNet of Rock County, and Rock County Public Health

- Results are provided during a quick 15-minute appointment

- Approximately 1 in 11 Wisconsin adults lives with diabetes, and 1 in 3 has prediabetes. Many people with prediabetes do not know they have it

- Type 2 diabetes can often be prevented or managed through healthy lifestyle changes. Increasing physical activity, eating better, and managing your weight can reduce the risk of developing diabetes

- Limited tests available, walk-ins welcome, first come, first served, appointments encouraged

- Ages 16+
