The Craft of American Tall Clocks
Gary R. Sullivan, a scholar and antiques dealer specializing in clocks, leads a program at the Leslie P. and George H. Hume American Furniture Study Center, Collection Studies Center, Yale West Campus, focused on close looking at a selection of the more than 30 tall clocks in the collection. He evaluates their design, the choice of materials, and the skill of their construction, offering participants a greater understanding of the complexity of these products of the American clockmaking trade.
