MSA Taboo Talks is an interactive educational event designed to create a respectful and welcoming space for students to engage with important topics in Islam that are often considered difficult, sensitive, or “taboo” to discuss openly. A guest speaker will lead a guided discussion addressing these less commonly discussed subjects from an Islamic perspective, while also giving students the opportunity to ask questions and participate in meaningful conversation. Following the discussion, attendees will participate in a Jeopardy-style game based on the topics covered, allowing students to reinforce what they learned in a fun and engaging way. Prizes will be awarded to participants, and food will be provided to encourage community building and make the event an inviting space for students to learn, connect, and have open conversations about topics that may otherwise be overlooked.
