Flower Bouquet/Gajra Making

The event will include a structured bouquet-making activity designed to promote student engagement, creativity, and community building. Participants will be provided with fresh flowers and greenery and guided through the process of creating a personalized bouquet. The activity will be inclusive and accessible to all students. In addition, students will have the option to create gajras (traditional floral garlands for hair) or a more modern style flower crown, inspired by their traditional use in Kathak dance. In demonstrating how to create the gajras, we will also discuss their symbolism specifically to the dance form and culturally. This component offers a hands-on, interactive experience while providing participants with a tangible takeaway, and the opportunity to learn more about kathak.
