Sketch Break with Moshopefoluwa Olagunju

Take a (sketch) break and join the Haas Arts Library and the Yale School of Art for a program dedicated to documenting the remarkable built environment at Yale during October and Spring recesses. Once each semester, we’ll meet at a Yale arts building to sketch together, and a different MFA student from the School of Art will be on hand to provide insight and advice.

Please find the schedule of “Sketch Breaks” below. These are drop-in sessions that all members of the Yale community are invited to join at any time:

Thurs., Oct. 22, 3-5PM — Loria Rooftop with sketch advisor Moshopefoluwa Olagunju, Painting/Printmaking MFA ‘27

Tues., Mar. 9, 3-5PM — 36 Edgewood Ave., 4th floor stairwell with sketch advisor José Manuel Mesías, Painting/Printmaking MFA ‘27

Open to the Yale community, the “Sketch Breaks” take place in the in-between spaces and are open to all experience levels! Explore your sketching skills, take a break from studying, and join a vibrant community of artists capturing the beauty of Yale through drawings. While limited notebooks and pencils will be available, please bring your own drawing supplies. The Haas Library will also provide books and resources to inspire your creativity.
