Centering the Self-in-Context in Curriculum and Pedagogy: Toward a Relational Stance For Our Students
Many of us recall moments that shape our educational journeys and identities as teachers and learners, though schooling practices often obscure these moments. Dr. Caraballo examines how reflecting on our experiences, assumptions, and perspectives can transform our
understanding of curriculum and pedagogy. Using interconnected framings of the self-in-context and curriculum-as-assemblage, this session will focus on how relational approaches and intergenerational collaboration may foster critical hope, collective agency, and critical literacies while strengthening relationships among teachers, students, and administrators across diverse educational contexts.
