Environmental Impacts of Artificial Intelligence

This workshop will explore the environmental impacts of artificial intelligence (AI). We will begin with an overview of AI's environmental footprint, covering energy consumption, water use, electronic waste, and its impact on communities. Then, we will discuss practical strategies for reducing and mitigating these impacts.

This workshop is offered by the University Library and will be led by librarian Katherine Howell.

This workshop is being offered remotely via Zoom only. Register through the library calendar. Registrants will receive a Zoom link; those on the waitlist will not receive a Zoom link unless they are bumped up to a registered spot.

All registrants however, will receive access to the meeting recording and resources.
