A Night of Unleashed Wonder
Join us to celebrate the work of our Unleashed Wonder grant recipients, Divya Tase and Zora Borde-Perry. Come meet them and check out their work, and enjoy an evening of unleashed creativity!
A project by Divya Tase (Biology & Public Health '28) explored creativity, reflection, and community service. The Street Medicine at Pitt One-Word Workshop invited participants to reflect on their experiences through art, creating space for connection and well-being beyond street rounds. Meals that Matter brought together students and faculty to explore how thoughtful culinary practices can be a creative expression of empathy and equity. Together, these events highlighted creativity and community as meaningful forms of service and connection.
Petals of Persistence by Zora Borde-Perry (Social Work '27) began with a question: How can culturally significant flowers represent beauty and resilience in places experiencing sociopolitical hardship? Zora’s project transformed broken fragments of glass into a series of floral mosaics, creating art that echoes the fracture and reassembly of histories. Each work honors a place navigating sociopolitical strain while centering its living symbol of continuity. She views her project as an offering, a reminder that even in turbulent climates, something sacred continues to bloom.
Free refreshments and inspiration provided! This is an open house-style event, so you can drop in as your schedule permits.
Unleashed Wonder grants are made possible through the the Vice Provost of Undergraduate Studies, Office of the Provost.
