Keeping Your Consultant Position Manageable (WAC Workshop)

Designed for WAC Consultants, but open to anyone working with student writing, this webinar (with lots of discussion time) gives consultants support as they manage the work/student/life balance. While we all want students to succeed, long-term success as a writer requires us to learn how to help students to do it for themselves. We will remind you of best practices, but we will also offer some strategies for:

• working with groups of students

• resisting becoming an editor and/or over commenting

• working with underprepared writers

• asking questions rather than giving solutions

We will leave a significant amount of time at the end to discuss challenges you are facing, so please come with questions or situations you would like to discuss.
