AI and Assistive Technology in the Classroom: Harnessing AI as Learners and Instructors
This half day AI literacy and training workshop is open to all graduate students, Graduate Research Assistants (GRAs)and Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTAs) across disciplines. Through interactive discussions and hands on activities, participants will develop four core dimensions of AI literacy: understanding how AI systems work, using AI tools effectively, critically evaluating AI generated outputs, and applying AI responsibly and ethically in teaching and learning contexts. The workshop will also introduce accessible and assistive technologies that can support learning, instruction, research, and productivity. Graduate students who participate will gain practical AI literacy skills they can apply in the classroom at GSU, in their teaching and research, and as they prepare for an increasingly AI shaped job market.
Lunch will be provided. Registration is required.
