Blazers Against Hunger

Blazers Against Hunger is a month-long campaign that supports Blazer Kitchen, UAB’s on-campus food pantry. Blazer Kitchen is supported by the UAB Benevolent Fund with the purpose of increasing food security in the UAB community by providing healthy food, resources, and referrals to patients, employees, and students in need, all while making sure those who visit are treated with dignity, compassion, and respect.

In the last year, Blazer Kitchen has provided food for 110,000 meals to over 280 patients, 1,100 students and 290 employees facing food insecurity. Since its founding in 2017, Blazer Kitchen has provided enough food for more than one million meals.
